Funding Model
- BSR receives funding from the Levi Strauss Foundation, and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency. With this funding, BSR oversees program design, selects and manages local partner relationships, and engages international companies for participation. We also make strategic investments in local HERproject partners.
- International companies provide funding to cover the cost of program activities in their individual supplier factories. These costs range from US$5000 to US$7000 per factory per year, and are given directly to the local HERproject partner.
- Suppliers absorb the costs associated with program implementation, such as staff time and meeting space for training activities. Suppliers sometimes also share program costs with international companies, or cover additional incidentals, such as HERproject partner transportation.
