Global Company Role

  • Provide funding for pilot project(s)
  • Identify appropriate factories and facilitate factory access
  • Initiate and support relationship between factory managers, BSR and local NGOs
  • Work with factory and project team to establish program sustainability after the initial 12 months

Estimated Costs

US$2,000 per factory for a 12-month training program. Note: A 25-50 percent factory buy-in can reduce costs and improve sustainability through ownership of the program.

    US$3,000 per factory for 12-month study conducted by local partners and supported by Extending Service Delivery in Washington, D.C.
  • Build up factory onsite clinic capacity
  • Hire and train health services professionals for clinic services, with special attention to women’s health needs. Purchase necessary women-specific medical materials
