Factory Role

  • Provide information to project team as needed, including factory production cycle, existing services and training programs
  • Provide facilities for peer health education training and onsite health services
  • Enable factory workers to participate in the training and to use health services during the workday without loss of pay
  • Ensure support for the project by senior and middle factory management

Estimated Cost

3-5 percent of the female workforce trained as Peer Health Educators for three full days over the 12-month period. While attending trainings, female workers should be paid normal wages and have access to regularly scheduled meals.

Optional

US$500 to US$1,000 for a 25-50 percent if factory buy-in of a 12-month program is required by brand.
